Our story
Real Food. Real Care. Since 1988.

Dolores's Story
Chef Dolores Johnson has been cooking for the Maharishi International University community since 1988 — nearly four decades of serving fresh, organic vegetarian meals to students, faculty, and neighbors in Fairfield.
What started as a commitment to wholesome, honest food has grown into a Fairfield tradition: a place where the community gathers over lasagna, spinach pie, and fruit pie made the way it should be — from real, organic ingredients, never GMO.
"Cooking here has always been about taking care of people."
Our Connection to MIU
The Golden Dome Café is proud to be part of Maharishi International University, drawing on the university's organic farm and its philosophy of Consciousness-Based education. Every dish reflects that same commitment to wholeness — good for the body, good for the community, good for the earth.
Why Organic and Non-GMO
We believe food should nourish more than just hunger. That's why everything on our menu — from the buffet to our Take-Home Favorites — is 100% organic and non-GMO, prepared fresh in-house every day.
